Realy slow performance Deciso firewall

Hello,
Recently I switched to OPNsense. I was able to buy a second-hand Deciso OPN-20071-R to replace my old Sitecom router. On the OPN-20071-R I installed a clean version of OPNsense-19.1-OpenSSL serial-i386. On the sitecom I always reached a speed of 150/150 Mbps but after switching to OPNsense I only reach a speed of about 55/80 Mbps. Have I forgotten something somewhere? Or can't the Intel Atom Z530 handle higher speeds? Isn't it strange that a cheap Sitecom router can reach my full internet speed and not this OPNsense box?

Do you use IPS?
MTU/MSS ok?
Any big load while testing?

Unclear what CPU that appliance has, however should it support 64-bit that is the better option

Performance related, please clarify what setup do you have in place and the exact version patch level while answering

CPU: Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU Z530 @ 1.60GHz (2 cores) unfortunately only 32bit
MTU/MSS are still at the default setting.
All settings are still on default after installation, so no IPS?
Versions OPNsense 19.1.1-i386
FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p8-HBSD
OpenSSL 1.0.2q 20 Nov 2018

For testing, set MSS on LAN interface to 1300, then test again and watch CPU and RAM while testing.

That's quite an old (i386) machine, not an OPN20071R (note the missing dashes), probably based on
https://www.openvox.cn/pub/misc/IPC110%20Hardware%20Installation%20Guide%20v1.0.03.pdf
or could even be a IPC100
The last one we sold was likely almost 5 years ago, which is when we switched to our own mainboard design, I don't expect a very high performance, it's faster than a Alix 2D13, which was commonly used back than.
Our guess is that this machine is around 6 years old.

The machine will be maybe 6 years old indeed. @mimugmail I will try it today!

When MSS is set to 1300 on the LAN interface, the CPU and ram usage is indeed lower, but it does not result in a speed gain. See speed tests below.
