[Solved] monit smtp Problem

Hi,

nach dem Update auf die 19.1 sind bei mir die Notifications nicht mehr verfügbar. Ich habe versucht monit zu konfigurieren, erhalte aber folgende Meldungen im Logfile:
monit[95267]: SMTP: Mailserver response error -- 550 invalid DNS MX or A/AAAA resource record
monit[95267]: Mail: Mailserver response error -- 550-Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable

Wir nutzen 1und1 als Mailserver für unsere Domain. Laut https://intodns.com/ sind unsere Einträge in Ordnung, wir haben auch auf keinem anderen Client Probleme mit dem E-Mail Versand. Benutzername und Passwort habe ich kopiert, daran kann es also nicht liegen.

Mit 18.7 haben die Notifications noch funktioniert.

Kennt jemand das Problem, oder hat einen Tipp für mich?

Not sure there's an issue here, my monitor is sending emails fine, just tested it.


I have my mail server set up in general settings, mail server port correctly set and username and password set for the mail server that the mail server wants to accept. It may be that the key is that which is picking up the domain name from the system: Settings: General-> domain, in my case that works because it's a real domain, so the email server accepts it.


'localdomain.com' is not a valid MX record and a correctly configured server should reject mail from that domain. Are you sure 1und1 have not just tightened their security and are no longer allowing invalid addresses?


For testing purposes try putting the domain that 1und1 is expecting in the system: Settings: General-> domain and see what happens.
