SOLVED: VMWare Tools for Hardened BSD

Hello together,
in my lab, I have a OPNSense 19.1 installation on an ESXi server.
After I installed the VMware-tools plugin, ESXi complains, that the configured guest os (FreeBSD (64-Bit)) doesn't match the running guest os (FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p8-HBSD).
Any advice?
Andreas

This is a known issue - have it in other OS's as well as soon as there is a non-standard kernel involved. Even with the information notice, VMware tools seems to function perfectly. Might be the case for you too - could you check that?

Same here. Production environment on ESXi v6.7, VMware tools are properly working despite the warning.

Thanks, I checked it. Tools seem to work instead of warning.
