Correct config OpenVPN with VPN provider

I'm having problems with my OpenVPN clients connection to NordVPN. De default config doesn't work untill I add "redirect-gateway autolocal;" in the advanced config of the clients. But that's a little unstable.

What is the correct way to do this?

Can you please share your configuration to get it working?

I am running blind and cant get Nord VPN to work.

The log files keep telling me
Options error: --client-connect requires --mode server

Just follow the instructions in the documentation but add " redirect-gateway autolocal; " in the advanced config of the client. You can use only one client at a time with this config.
