Hello everyone.
Developers, please redesigned interface and make it more compact, as in monowall.
Some of the fields in the interface huge!
Sometimes it is not immediately clear to what tab you are, because it is not highlighted.

I think you underestimate the level of religious war you have started here. :)  Website look and feel gets very [personal for a lot of people very fast.  I am in the middle of this now with the (potential) SmallWall project as everyone is contacting me to see what direction the web interface is going.  Who cares if the firewall works... ;)

What I can say is that modifying the web interfaces of projects like these is very easy, so you may just want to make some changes yourself and present them.  If enough people like it, you may get adopted.  If not, at least your copy works for you!

I have to agree to some extent. the GUI looks very pretty but a bit like OS X Yosemite: IMHO it's too much design over functionality. the good news is though that under /System/General Setup/ one will be able to switch themes in the future...

michael

Here I thought we just did. :D Yes, the bootstrapping does not appease everyone, but it makes it a lot easier to change things in the future just by updating CSS. Multiple themes are something we do want, but to move forward we had to cut ties with all the old ones.

One of my best kept secrets is that I think the GUI can still be made more clear and simple. There are usability tweaks coming as soon as we don't have to worry about fundamental stabilisation on the system scope (e.g. migration to FreeBSD 10.1 is done now).

Cheers,
Franco

Be nice if you could somehow who us what that looks like with some screenshots.. comparison before the change and after the change.
