Tailscale not connecting when rebooting

Hello,

I have noticed that sometimes when rebooting my nodes these do not come back online in tailscale and on the dashboard the following appears:

You cannot view this attachment.

When I reboot the tailscale service, this appears online on the tailscale admin console for about 30 seconds and than it disconnects but on the main opnsense dashboard it remains as the image above.

To reconnect the node again I need to:

• remove it from the Tailscale console
• generate a new key
• update the opnsense tailscale authentication settings with the new key
• approve subnets / exit node / key expiration disabled in the tailscale console

Now if I reboot the opnsense tailscale connects again, but since the issue already happened few times in the past I don't know for how long it will keep the connections.


The process above is not feasible if I don't have physical access to the node. I have a remote node that I just rebooted and now I lost the connectivity.

Any idea or suggestion please?
