First Udate/Upgrade Failure [25.7, then 25.7 to 25.7.1] - Any Ideas?

Hello,

I have had three different instances of OPNsense running for about 18 months with never an issue (including updates/upgrades)...until now.

On this 3rd unit, experience was this:

* Was on (I believe) 24.7.11 and update installed 24.7.12, reboot (25.7 was now available).

* Attempted to update to 25.7 and it did not work. Should have taken better notes but I thought it was during the boost-python where it seemed to hang then update did not progress

* Connected monitor and keyboard and went in via console. Updates would also not work. I would alternate from attempted console update and then go to gui and audit clean to remove updates.

*Console restored to previous 24.7.12 snapshot

* Did a config backup from gui (should have done manual backup on .11 but alas)

* Attempting to upgrade to 25.7 again and see multiple issues when on gui, update seems to hang and appear as complete but is does not. On conole I see multiple errors stating "mangled".

At this time I decide to wipe device and perform a clean install of 25.7

* No issues performing clean install of 25.7 and importer restores config

However, I cannot update missing packages as 25.7.1 is launched and cannot perform update to 25.7.1

So, back to the continual attempt upgrade, which fails (more mangled on console screen) or hangs.

I have reinstalled clean, twice now. Even update fails on clean 25.7 install and attempting 25.7.1 upgrade without importing my confix.xml (clean/fresh 25.7 install).

Is this a HDD failure or any ideas? Would think if HDD, wouldnt have stable clean installs/reinstalls.

So I just attempted manual pkg updates on the missing packages via console, then rebooted unit.
Just performed 25.7.1 update perfectly.

What the heck?
