Interface stats stuck at high number post-reboot

This started with an older version but never got resolved and still exist in this latest version (was in hopes it would kick something lol) so reposting from https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=43552.msg216928#msg216928

I changed interfaces some time ago (new nic) and my interface stats are stuck on the dashboard. For example, after a fresh reboot it says my Lan has sent 31TB still...

My understanding is this data isn't supposed to be stored anywhere yet somehow it is.

How do I get this stale data refreshed/fixed?
The traffic graphs and everything else seem to be fine.
This is happening on a few nics too (is a 4 port 10gig card).
