Using HA CARP virtual IP with reverse proxy Caddy

I've been testing out Caddy using the Opnsense plugin on the lan interface side of my network. It works fine as long as the client accesses the reverse proxied services/servers using the actual lan interface ip address. If I try to use the virtual IP for the lan side instead, it breaks. Is this the expected behavior with Caddy? If so, are there any other reverse proxies that work as expected when using it with HA CARP virtual IPs?

Update: I did some additional testing and it seems that the problem lies with the Safari browser that I was using on my Macbook running the latest version of Sequoia. Testing reverse proxy access using Caddy with the Virtual IP address with either Firefox or Brave browser worked fine.

Explain what breaks and show evidence. Maybe its a configuration error on your side thats fixable.
