CLI Command to Restart bridge at startup?

Hi all,
in another forum entry I described the issue we have with an OpenVPN interface that is part of a bridge, because during bootup, the bridge is not ready when it tries to add the ovpnsX interfaces.
As a solution, I was thinking to add a command to re-initialize the bridge after bootup completed.
I don't know where to start - it would be best, if that command would survive upgrades and even better, stays part of the config xml for import.
Could anyone point me into a direction or has a solution to solve this?
Thank you very much!
