Slow connections of OpenVpn instances on TAP mode

Hi today I switched Openvpn from Legacy to instances and noticed that it is slower than it was.
What is the problem?
What encryption does the new mode use? because I don't see an option to choose anywhere?
Is there no encryption at all?
Server in TAP mode

And is it possible to set up authentication without user and password?
