Lighttpd fails to start after upgrade to 24.7.5. Solved by rolling back to 24.1

Hello, I have been running OPNSense 24.7.4 for a good while on an APU 1d (PC-Engines). Today, while doing some other re-configuration (enabling RRD and reconfiguring some gateways successfully), I decided to upgrade to 24.7.5. That worked well but alas about an half hour into running the upgraded system my browser (Firefox) started to respond sluggishly to the OPNSense web interface. That lasted for another half hour and then the OPNSense web interface stopped responding altogether. Reboot of the firewall did not make any difference. I have connected a serial console and that works fine. And the firewall itself seems to be completely up in running. But what I also notice is about 40 php-cgi processes, all in an interrupted state, which are all child processes of lighttpd. I have killed lighttpd and the processes go away. Restarted lightttpd and the process are all back. I have looked for error messages but there are none. The lighttpd log shows that the daemon is started, and then, when I stopped it, that the daemon was stopped. Nothing else. I have tried clearing the cache but there was no cache data at all. I have tried reverting but that was a bad idea. I am sort of at a loss here and overlooking something very obvious maybe.
I have rebuilt the OPNSense system on 24.7.5 and rolled back to a configuration without any of the above mentioned changes. No difference. Lighttpd hangs up completely and the OPNSense web console appears unreachable. Serial console login works and the firewall functionality does not appear to be impaired. Just cannot manage it. I have not checked SSH logins. Because web console management is important to me I have roled back the version of OPNSense to 24.1 by doing a completely new install and gave it the same configuration as I have used above That works a charm.
As far as I can see 24.7.5 is broken.
Any help appreciated. Cheers, Anton

Don't use RRD on a APU, maybe try again on 25.1 when some things are bound to change. If getting better HW is not an option just keep RRD disabled.

I tried without RRD, which is going away anyway it seems, and that made no difference alas. I decided to roll back to 24.1 and that works well.
Thanks you for taking the time to respond.

Hi,
Anything on top of "24.7.5 broken". 24.7.4? 24.7.3? We're probably not getting closer to 24.1 any time soon so finding the cause is probably useful.
I do assume you have issues due to setting explicit listen interfaces for the GUI?
Cheers,
Franco
