Hi all,

I recently installed my OPNSense router with EETV after moving house. This is my first dive into IPTV, but I'm having trouble resolving a problem with streaming live TV.

I swapped out the BT HomeHub, which was working fine, and now I'm not getting a signal or stream for any live channels. EETV reports the error "IPC6023" when it eventually times out. I assume it's firewall-related, as all the other apps on the box are working fine (Netflix, NowTV, Prime, etc.).

I also use the ZenArmour plugin which I put into bypass mode, but nothing changed so I assume it's not that.

Having searched the forum I saw something about IGMP snooping however I'm not an expert with firewall configuration to this extent.

Any help to resolve would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to go back to the BT HomeHub... :)

I don't have access to EETV or any BT offering to compare notes, but have a look at these configurations to get you started:

If you have access to a BT HomeHub and it is working as expected with EETV, then you can login into its GUI to find the required router settings, then use these on opnsense.

Hi,
to forward multicast traffic between  WAN and LAN interfaces, you will need to install and configure the igmp-proxy plug-in as well as the firewall rules on these interfaces.

This link might help:

Thanks, both.

I'll take a look at these articles and give them a go. Will report back!
