Hello all

I am very new to OPNsense. I apologize for my lack of knowledge. I have 24.7 running on a Lenovo Tiny with 24gb of ram and a 120 Gb m.2. Plenty of power for this application. I am experiencing users who get dropped from Zoom and Teams meetings quite often. When they don't get dropped the video is very choppy. This only started after I introduced the OPNsense into our environment. Could i get some ideas where to look. Thank you

Reduce your firewall to a minimum viable configuration - usually just NAT on IPv4. Iterate through:

- save the state in a backup
- test performance
- if acceptable, introduce a new feature
- if unacceptable, revert to last state

Troubleshoot the detrimental feature(s) and/or evaluate where they are on the MoSCoW scale of requirements.

Additional to what @Bart suggested (and I agree),

Check as well what is the total consumption of your internet BW during the time issues happen because it sounds a bit like a potential congestion/buffer bloat problem.

You provided very less details about your network, topology, features and configuration. By default OPNsense doesn't have problem with these two applications. I have people at the office (myself included) working daily using MS Teams or Zoom without any problems.

S.

Networking is love. You may hate it, but in the end, you always come back to it.
