Hi all,

I am very new to this OPNsense and hope someone can point me to the correct answer.

I have set up the OPNsense firewall and everything is running as per default setting.

When I connected with a client and tried to download the Windows 11 ISO file, I was not able to proceed. The client machine has full internet access.

May I know what is the issue here and how to solve it, thanks.

Microsoft thinks you are in a banned country (Iran, Cuba, North Korea, etc.) If you are, emigrate. If you're not, contact them.

Yeah good luck getting anywhere for that error with Microsoft - I had the same issue for nearly 5 years, and I'm an an EU country, until a few months back when I could finally get the ISOs again. No-one I contacted could give me anything useful let alone actually tell me who to actually report it.

I'm afraid it's definitely not an OPNsense issue.

I did some searching and found this solution video what could be helpful to work around it:

Hi all,

Thank you everyone for the reply.

@RamSense, thanks will try the solution.

Not sure if it can help, but I had a similar experience and I fxed it by 'unblocking' (I'm using AdGuardHome) the following domain:  vlscppe.microsoft.com
