How to Ignore a Gateway on a DHCP Interface?

Hi all!

I have a local network where a DHCP server is running (not OPNSense!). It provides a default gateway to the clients. Unfortunately I can not change configuration of this DHCP server.

Now I have an interface on my OPNSense attached to this network, requesting an IP through DHCP.

The provided gateway is now visible in OPNSense which I do not need.

Is there a way to configure the interface to get an IP address through DHCP and ignore the provided gateway?

Thanks!

No. And you should have only one interface configured with DHCP. That's a general rule for every host. Unless you have completely seperate virtual IP stacks which OPNsense doesn't have.

Makes sense. Reconfigured to static IP, ignoring the crappy DHCP server.

runing fine!
