T5740 Performance?

I'm looking to moving to OPNSense from M0n0wall and need to purchase some updated hardware. I've heard great things about the ability of the HP t5740 to run pfSense. However I don't see much about it running OPNSense. Do any of you use the t5740 for your hardware and, if so, how does it treat you?
My reason for caution is that the CPU meets the requirements in terms of frequency (1.6Ghz) but it's single-core. This device would be used in a home environment with just a few users on a ~50mbps connection so it's not a super-demanding situation. Otherwise this device fits my needs perfectly for an electricity-saving, relatively small and quiet appliance. Obviously I would have to buy the expansion module and add a dual-port Intel NIC. All together I hope to only spend around $100 on the whole setup.
Thanks for the help.

If it can run pfSense, it will run OPNsense as well.
Do keep in mind it's an older Intel Atom CPU. Meaning, 1.6GHz can't be compared to the same speed Intel I3 or higher.
But for 50Mb/s home usage should be fine.

I don't normally recommend Dell over HP, but I'm running OPNsense on a pre-loved Dell Optiplex 745 SFF 3Ghz Celeron / 4GB with a Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 low profile NIC for a total cost of around $50
Two cores, very quiet and CPU load rarely goes over 40%, even with Suricata in blocking mode.

I use several Lex 3I270D with Intel Atom N270 1,6GHz. There are quite some OEM-boxes with this board out there, with 2-4-Realtek NICs, mini-PCIe, SATA and CF-slot. You can get them sometime for ~25$/€ barebone (no RAM, no SSD/DOM) on ebay.
Work fine on a 200MBit cable line, VDSL lines, ..
Here's one (much to expensive..) with only 2 NICs, you can see the 2 more optional ethernet slots in the housing.

Same device, but labeled as Securepoint firewall and has all 4 NICs, also much to expensive.

They have VGA - which is really nice. Without VGA I recommend those APU-1D4 or simular thingies like this

Serial setup only, realtek NICs, work.
I really like to see those boxes with Intel NICs, but well.. I also modded 2 Lex 3I270D and soldered a second SATA port onto the board, but well, SMD.. ^^
