Hello,

I am running Opnsense 23.1.11 on AMD.  Not exactly sure when issue started but have missing packages in the plugin list and every time I try to update via the CLI I get an error "Fetching change log information, please wait... Bus error (core dumped)".

I read a few other had success switching to German repository. That didnt work for me.

-DNS works
-firewall is passing traffic from clients and locally via CLI
-I removed Sensi via CLI but still present in GUI
-UDP Relay is running when checked via CLI but is missing in package list

Update Errros below:
  0) Logout                              7) Ping host
  1) Assign interfaces                   8) Shell
  2) Set interface IP address            9) pfTop
  3) Reset the root password            10) Firewall log
  4) Reset to factory defaults          11) Reload all services
  5) Power off system                   12) Update from console
  6) Reboot system                      13) Restore a backup

Enter an option: 12

Fetching change log information, please wait... Bus error (core dumped)

This will automatically fetch all available updates and apply them.

This update requires a reboot.

Is there a reason you're updating from the console instead of the web UI?

What version are you currently on?  It's unclear if you mean that you're on 23.1.11 which is the current latest version.

Have you downloaded the config?  You should make sure you have a copy in case you need to rebuild, which might be the easiest route.

Thx for the response.

I get a repo error when trying to update via GUI.  Response in Error attach is that Opsense repo is missing. In the details windows I get the same bus error I get in the CLI.

"Fetching changelog information, please wait... Bus error (core dumped)"

While 23.1.11 is latest you will see in the package list that os-udpbroadcastrelay is missing and can't update.
Was hoping I could recover rather than rebuild but can do if that is the best path.

I don't think you have any other option.  You might be able to reset your config, update, and then apply it again but I'm not sure it would work or if I'd trust it.  Something borked your system.

If you're able to, you might want to run memtest, etc to see if any of your hardware is going bad.

Thx. I rebuilt this morning and imported config. All clean now.

Were you able to do any testing?  If there's problematic hardware you may run into the same issue again.
