Problems installing opnsense serial

Hi!
I'm having problems installing OPNSense on an network embedded device using the seiral img.
First problem was having to make a USB stick to install with. Is there a was to make an iso for installing?
Second, using quick and easy setup, I get an error LBA thing. I don't have the exact text but it happens right after the first reboot and seems like a bootloader issue. I got around this by using a custom install and un-selecting packet thing at the bootblocks install portion.
Turd, I get a:
ada0: Previously was known as ad0
Loader variables:
Manual root filesystem specification:
<fstype>:<device> [options] Mount <device> using filesystem <fstype> and with the specified (optional) option list. eg. ufs:/dev/da0s1a zfs:tank cd9660:/dev/acd0 ro (which is equivalent to: mount -t cd9660 -o ro /dev/acd0 /) ? List valid disk boot devices . Yield 1 second (for background tasks) <empty line> Abort manual input mountroot>
and then I enter ufs:/dev/diskid/DISK-E00G4243FTG0LPs1a
and it seems to work, and when I went to edit with vi (Most painful editor built by Satan hisself I swaer) /etc/fstab has:
/dev/ada0s1a
which also works when I type in the 'mountroot>' prompt...
I went to check if there is another img I can write to my install usb stick, but there doesn't seem to be one... So I hope someone here is kind enough to help.

ok, did another install on a 500gb HDD, for second point above. This is the error message I get:
/boot/config: -S115200 -D
error 1 lba 495043855
No /boot/loader
OPNsense/x86 boot
Default: 0:ad(0,a)/boot/kernel/kernel
boot:
error 1 lba 495043855
No /boot/kernel/kernel
OPNsense/x86 boot
Default: 0:ad(0,a)/boot/kernel/kernel
boot:
And when I do a Custom Install, I un-select Packet-Mode at this screen:

Hi there,
What kind of device is this? What disks/cards does it support?
Have you tried to boot the nano image instead which doesn't require install?
Cheers,
Franco
