Successfully upgrade to 21.1
Now attempting final update to get all packages current.

The first attempt hung at downloading #7 readline-8.1.0.txz
Since they where still downloading I left it for ~20min then did graceful reboot.
Then tried again with sensei + surcata off
This time it started with readline-8.1.0txz and downloaded
Now hung again at downloading #5- postfix-sasl-3.5.9,1.txz
I do have functional internet while its hung on update.

System log has
2021-02-18T15:27:22   kernel   842.209109 [1174] netmap_extra_free breaking with head 1734082816
2021-02-18T15:27:22   kernel   842.209078 [1071] netmap_obj_free ouch, double free on buffer 2025

Any suggestions be helpful.  Is a VM on ESXi v7
Thanks

Well - I did same again at hung postfix-sasl-3.5.9,1.txz and gracefully rebooted
3rd time a charm..?
It downloaded all remaining packages then extracted the 41.  Am now current on 21.1.1
Now going to review if have any post upgrade issues.

Just follow-up.  Never did identify why had those hangs.  Upgrade to 21.1.1 went smooth otherwise.

Few days later did a upgrade from another Opnsense 20.1 directly to 21.1 (skip 20.7) and then the remaining download / patching to 21.1.1 worked just fine on first attempt.

There is an interactive script in FreeBSD postfix package that used to block the upgrade, but I don't remember when we had this issue other than that is was quite some time ago. We've since removed the postfix script so that it doesn't block the upgrade forever.

Cheers,
Franco
