Controller timeout

After a reboot of my Netgate SG-5100 I am seeing the following message in the boot sequence, which is preventing the device from working. Any ideas?

For anyone interested this issue is related to another issue I have: forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=12378

With OPNsense on the onboard eMMC storage you never get passed the Controller timeout error message, but with an SSD whilst you still see the message multiple times, OPNsense does eventually boot . This is in spite of the SSD being the only enabled boot device, for some reason the eMMC storage is still accessed producing the error message - how odd and annoying!

I just ran into this problem with a different appliance (cyberoam) which has emmc onboard, gives the exact same error. Opnsense 20.7  .

Will there be, at some point, a fix for this problem?

Same on MinisForum N33. message repeated 15 or 16 times then looks like normal boot
