Sensei Sizing Question - Noob alert!

I have a really NOOB question about Sensei and their sizing guide.

I'm running OpnSense on a laptop with a dual core i5 (two threads) with 4GB of memory.  It handles my 1Gbps Fiber connection with ease.  Looking at the size guide, does the Max WAN Bandwidth mean I'll only get 150Mbps on my connection with Sensei?

Not necessarily. Sensei guide recommends HW taking into account both memory and cpu together to match a WAN speed and number of users. Since WAN speed generally is more related to how fast the CPU is and number of users is more related to the amount of memory since more users will create more data to index/query.

If this is a home setup with small number of devices (<50) i5 3GHz cpu should provide around 600Mbps WAN bw.
