Hello
when setting up the WLAN i can select which kind of typ i whish ( Infrastruktur-Modus, Access Point, Ad-hoc-Modus) what is the difference between the
Infrastruktur-Modus
and
Access Point
?

Hi,
maybe it is too easy for wikipedia.
Access Point
-> Configure the wireless hw installed into OPNsense to work as an Access Point (for other wifi clients into network). AP mode works only with some chipsets due the bad freebsd driver support for wifi devices.
Infrastructure Mode
-> Connect the wireless hw into OPNsense as a client to a managed wifi network. This is an usecase if you use your opnsense into public wifi networks (hotel, coffee shop, etc.) to secure your own devices.
