Changing to Business edition from 26.7 fails

Hello,

it´s my first attempt upgrading a free Opnsense install to business edition.
I got stuck, as I have 26.7.6_3 and if I enter the product key, change to a commercial repo, change Type to Business, then attempt an upgrade, I just get this:
"The matching OPNsense 26.10 series does not yet exist. Images are available to switch this installation to the latest business edition."

Now I know this, but are there really any images available? Will I have to reinstall my Opnsense?
If there really are images, where do I find them? What is the official way to install Business Edition?

Sorry if this is off here, but I haven´t really found the right place to ask! Maybe I´m missing some documentation on this? Could someone point me to it please, as docs.opnsense.org hasn´t got much useful stuff on this.

Thanks!

1. The business edition is forked from the community edition three months after the publication of a new CE.

XX.1 CE
XX.4 BE
XX.7 CE
XX.10 BE

2. You cannot downgrade an OPNsense major release without a reinstall.

Conclusion:

If you need BE *now*, either install 26.4 directly or install 26.1 and switch to 26.4 BE. There is no BE that 26.7 can be upgraded to at the moment.
If you can wait for a couple of days 26.10 BE is due this week.

Hello Patrick,
thank you very much! This was my understanding as well, but I got confused by "Images are available to switch this installation to the latest business edition." message.
I think there should be some info on this in the documentation as well.

Peter

Images of 26.4 BE are available. And you can do a reinstall with config import.

Franco,
You´ve got 5 mins left! :)

Thanks a lot!

Peter

It was a bad estimate but we're almost there.  ;)

Lunch is served it seems.  :)
