for what its worth, we have the same problem, ok after reboot, next link restart no go.

We also have openvpn in use.

If anyone could try this with a snapshot-based install on top of 17.1.6 that would be very cool. But be careful, quite the adventurous area....

Unfortunately we have no resources to test this out but i read somewere in a freebsd forum about disabling kompression on the pppoe interface and we are going to give that a try later this week. In our log, we see something what looks like a time-out problem getting ipv6 dhcp up: (first were it goes wrong, second when things suddenly start working)
