I have been trying to upgrade to the latest version 25.1 from 24.7.12_4 but I get the following error output:

While the folder "/usr/local/datastore/elasticsearch/nodes/0/indices/2iG-on-OTtOdFSsUYj6b0g/0/index" exists, there are no files in it! I cannot find the 90-cleanup.sh script and can't inspect it.

Please advise how to corrector get pass this issue to continue the upgrade.

Your file system is damaged and needs to be repaired first with "fsck" in order to continue with the upgrade in a safe manner.

Cheers,
Franco

Thank you very much.  After finding how to "fsck" the root filesystem, I did the fsck five times as suggested on the web.  It corrected the filesystem and I was then able to upgrade to 25.1 without any problem.  Thanks again.
