Very High CPU load

I have very high cpu load.
   0   root   -92   -   0K   368K   CPU0   0   26:55   65.58%   [kernel{em0 taskq}]
   11   root   155   ki31   0K   64K   RUN   2   796:19   34.18%   [idle{idle: cpu2}]
   12   root   -92   -   0K   768K   WAIT   2   12:53   19.29%   [intr{irq17: em3 em7 m}]

Does anybody know why? The system is horrible slow.

Load average    4.28, 3.42, 2.99

man vmstat

This will let you devise an analysis strategy to pinpoint your problem.
