Thanks in advance.

Just try again. More than usual amount issues with file system related package reinstalls on FreeBSD 14 for one reason or another.

Thanks Franco. I tried a few times from console and no joy. Rather than waste time fooling around I just restored from an older disk image as I suspect I had a bad upgrade last time and upgraded again from 27.4.8 and everything is good now. I always back up from a known good config now before doing an upgrade. Especially a major one. I'm not sure why, but I always run into problems upgrading from the gui, so I never do that anymore.
