HI Guys
Currently on:-
OPNsense 23.7.12_5-amd64
FreeBSD 13.2-RELEASE-p7
OpenSSL 1.1.1w

Is it safe to update directly to  24.1 ?

I know how to backup but a noob with Opnsesne  :)

I dont see a problem with that.

Most of use did the upgrade via GUI from 23.7 to 24.1 and to 24.7 which is the current latest CE release.

If you are using ZFS, you can in CLI create a snapshot via a command and than rollback. In latest release Snapshot function was introduced into the GUI.

zroot/ROOT/default

Well to be fair it says "ZFS" so I'm guessing ZFS.

Trying to update getting error not sure what it means

Is it refusing to update or do i need to restore  ?

You can find numerous posts about this issue (unrelated to ZFS).

Hello fully updated I see I issue on Dashboard AdguardHome will not start.
Do i need to turn it off and wait for an update ?

AdGuardHome works fine under that version. Check Services->AdGuard Home->General and confirm whether you need to check "Primary DNS." You need to check it if AdGuardHome runs on port 53.
