WAN_DHCP6 gateway offline after update

Hi every,

just updated to 24.7 and after a reinstall of Zenarmor DB I am up and running again. Great work, so thanks a lot to all of you that were involved to make that happen!

One thing I noticed was that my WAN_DHCP6 gateway (Telekom FTTH using Glasfaser Modem 2) is always listed offline (gateway monitoring enabled obviously). That worked fine on 24.1, and the WAN_PPPOE is also no problem after the update.

How can I troubleshoot this?

Hm, I found something. In my case adding a monitoring IP for IPv6 does NOT lead to a route creation for that respective address through the IPV6 WAN interface while for IPv4 it does. In 1 out of 10 attempts a route was created and voila: the IPv6 gateway was online. After the reboot the route was missing so gw was offline again.

If you check "Disable Host Route", save, uncheck the option and save again, Host route creation takes places and gw is online. So there is something wrong with the automatic default Host Route creation I guess ...

I didn't have this WAN_DHCP6 gateway offline problem after update to 24.7.3_1 but it occured after updated to 24.7.4  I tried you trick of check/uncheck the "Disable Host Route" option and didn't solve the problem.  I also tried restarting the cable modem without solving the problem. So far, it appears that no one else is seeing this problem.

Edit:
After reconfiguring WAN interface, DHCPv6, the problem went away.   Looks like the problem was due to misconfiguration.
