Hi,

Since the update to 23.7, we are experiencing crashes when administrators are connecting to the Opnsense web interface through IPsec links.
The firewall reboot in less than 1 mins.

The update "OPNsense 23.7.1_3-amd64" didn't change anything.

Our configuration :
Opnsense VM on  VMware ESXi, 7.0.3 host
CPU : AMD EPYC 7313

Is this problem known or are we the only ones ?

Thanks !

Either:

Tunable: kern.ipc.mb_use_ext_pgs
Value: 0

or:

opnsense-update -zkr 23.7.1-ipsec

In any case reboot afterwards.

You are a life saver!!! We already preparing a RMA for our hardware but this kernel parm fixed it!

This thread should be pinned on top.

Thank you sooo much

This was fixed in 23.7.2 today.

Please help
I just can't figure this out
The latest update for 24.7 is crashing in the rebooting sequence - haven't changed the config apart from updates for about a year as it's been solid as a rock until yesterday when I updated the 24.7 from 23 July that was running to the latest - it reboots and dies half way through the reboot with a kernel panic??!!
I have repeated this over and over and it defo the latest update because i even downloaded the latest release and it works fine until you do any updates.
Thanks in advance

Any problem with 24.7 that manifests now after an update (which version precisely?) is very probably not related to a crash of 23.7 from about a year ago.

Please open a new thread for your particular problem. Or possibly refer to:
