Hello fellow OPNsense users,

I'm reaching out to the community in hopes of finding a solution to a problem that I believe others might have encountered as well. Since the removal of the "scramble obfuscate" option from OpenVPN in recent OPNsense updates, I've been unable to upgrade my system due to the heavy network censorship in my area. This feature was key to bypassing the restrictions, and its absence is quite limiting.

I'm currently on "Opnsense 23.1.11_2" and hesitant to move to newer versions without this essential feature. I understand that the developers announced its removal months ago, but I'm wondering if anyone has found a workaround or an alternative method to enable obfuscation with OpenVPN on OPNsense.

If you have any suggestions or have managed to solve this issue, please share your insights. It would be greatly appreciated not just by me, but by anyone in the community facing similar challenges.

Additionally, if anyone has a solution or method to install the "Openvpn 2.5.8" old package on the latest releases of OPNsense, that information would be invaluable. Any guidance on this would also be highly appreciated.

Thank you all in advance for your time and help

Maybe this could help? It could become an additional community plugin (probably), though somebody would need to spend the time to implement it.
