[SOLVED] 23.7 image is pfsense 2.7?

I just downloaded Opnsense from the site with this image:
OPNsense-23.7-vga-amd64.img

Wrote it to a usb stick (brand new) but it boots to pfsense 2.7 (both on console and web)  What is wrong?

EDIT, the machine had 2.7 on it from factory!  I did not know that

Speculating a little, given the brief description:
Do you happen to be using a Chinese box? They often have pfsense pre-installed.
Are you booting in to the BIOS and selecting the USB as first boot option? It is not automatic.

Otherwise we need more information.
