what's the most compatible USB 3 -> Gbps Lan adapter?

i already tried amazon basic ax##### chipset and it didn't really work well.

are there any other chipset/alternatives? or is every adapter pretty much the same ax# chipset?

i'm using Asus Q170T and realtek is broken. there isn't any pcie slots, the only option is usb...

or i guess i'll need to post a new question which mini-itx dual intel nic is the best
