Web Controls: Adult vs Pornography

In "Web Controls", there's an "Adult" category and a "Pornography" category. What's the difference?

Also, what category should a site that offers pornographic games be in? For example, repacklab.com is currently categorized in "Games" but its front-page contains pornographic images (albeit 3D renders, not photos). I was going to request a re-classification to "Pornography"... but then I spotted the "Adult" category... and now I'm not sure what it should be.

Generally speaking.

Adult category is used to describe sites which contain adult themed things but don't fall under specifically for pornography and such. (for example some adult themed social media sites, there are bunch of adult themed social media sites which contain nude pics. Also stores which sell porn and sex toys and outfits aren't actually porn sites either),

Reason why you bumped into a gaming site which had pornographic images without being categorized as porn site, possibly means the pornographic images in question were add banners (some website hosts who offer free service are forced to advertise anything they can, to make a profit or at least enough money to run the servers required for their service)

You can see those kinds of sites all over the internet, some more reputable hosts just refuse outright to advertise porn, others don't.

Also it is possible someone hacked their server and uploaded those images. Just like there are immature people fooling around in social media, there are people trying to ruin companies reputation either by doing it themselves, or paying someone to do it for them

In this particular case, the pornographic images weren’t ads: if they were, I hope they would have been blocked by Zenarmor’s ad blocking anyway. That game site has a lot of pornographic games: interactive movies with sex scenes, etc.

It also has pirated games, so I guess it is both “Warez” and “Pornography” (or possibly “Adult”, if you don’t count CGI sex as porn).

Oh it definetly isn't warez and you do count CGI as porn.

Warez is definition for torrents and P2P clients, which by themselves aren't illegal, for example Linux distros are shared with torrents, many companies use P2P to share files between eachother and big game companies like Blizzard uses P2P in sharing updates for their games. Even Opnsense images are shared on P2P networks. It's easy to confuse with it, since most prominent use for torrents and P2P clients is sharing copyrighted material

Torrent and warez clients just use P2P technology which allows clients with same files to share them and download from others who are also sharing them in P2P networks. More clients there are which share that file and are closer to others, faster it gets downloaded.

To put short, just because you are sharing files using P2P program doesn't make it illegal, what makes it illegal is if the file in question is copyright protected and you don't have permission to share that file.

One good example of nerds showing how pointless it is to ban P2P, is Star Wreck VI: In the Pirkning, scenes where you see posters on the walls of multiverse human ship (https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxOShs8MNGVFfKLAPcxOfGBVqRrr7eHMgv for example), says "HOMO!!!! WAREZ IS A SIN!!!" in Finnish and makers of that movie actually shared it on piratebay before they started selling DVDs

Warez is definition for torrents and P2P clients

I think you've got that backwards: Warez refers to pirated software. They may often be distributed via P2P networks but they don't have to be. Any pirated software, however it is distributed, is warez.
