Hey guys,

Been having intermittent connectivity issues with my main desktop PC connected to my OPNSense router.

Here is a sccreenshot of some of the activity I am seeing in the log on console. Any ideas of what this means?

My Main PC is 192.168.1.169 which I have set to a static IP on the same subnet.

Interface ICG1 is assigned to my LAN (ICG0 is assigned to my WAN)

Thanks!

Also, I am pretty sure its this client as no other devices on my network are having issues. It may have something to do with the network adapters/registry? on this PC. (I added a screenshot of my adapters)

It looks like according to OPN, that device is switching interfaces (by their MACs) that it connecting to it. Maybe from one NIC to another or from one to a Wifi adaptor.

Thanks! Yes, agreed. I decided to do a reset of Windows OS on this client (I had been running an upgraded OS from 10 to 11 and I think that caused some issues with the NICS) Hoping this fresh install causes better stability on OPNSense and reduces the errors. I'll send an update later! :)

One thought however is the interface going down and up on OPN.
A device changing the interface it connects with should only log these messages but not cause the OPN interface to go down. You might have somethign else going on.

Thanks, yes agree. I have literally replaced all NICS, switched and added this new OPNSense router.

My last resort is to change the Cat7 cable that runs across my house from office to the network room. I did accidentally cut it once, and has to resolder all the connections inside. Although a cable tester showed all connections were solid, its the only thing I can think of that could possible be a cause.

Also, looking at Windows Event viewers, the primary NIC on my client is throwing this error every so often. " Marvell AQtion 10Gbit Network Adapter : Network link is lost."

I would venture a guess that at this point it's a client-side problem, before you go replacing cables.
Are you on OPN ver 22.7 ? If not, could you try that?
And it seems if you have this client having problems, you might want to eliminate variables there with just one NIC on it. Follow dmesg on OPN for clues. What is unclear is whether the interface is being dropped by the client (windows pc) or OPN. Different NIC drivers.
And the flipping of interfaces connecting to OPN (from the changes of Mac) might just make it too noisy to discern a pattern.

Here is a new update form tonight....

ANQNIC60 is the "Marvell AQtion 10Gbit Network Adapter : Network link is lost." error.
