I had an issue like this a ways back. Tried everything I could think of, couldn't figure it out.Then I noticed the light on the power transformer kept dimming and going bright again.Turned out to be a bad power supply.Point is, look at things you may not think of.Most likely hardware.
Looks like a hardware issue as no networking is being involved. If you can update BIOS you should, but might not help.Cheers,Franco
