Strange Download Throughput behavior from WAN to WLAN

Heres something thats eluded me for a long while - that im having a lot of trouble understanding.
Whenever i conduct any Speedtests and/or Downloads from the internet (i have gigabit service), Strictly on Wifi, i can NEVER exceed 500mbps. However, I can exceed this "cap" on Wired connections without any trouble.
Heres where my confusion comes into play. When i do a local LAN speedtest (with openspeedtest), or file transfers from my NAS server, over Wifi (specifically 5Ghz SSID), exceeding 500mbps on the Download is super easy to do...
Why is my Wi-Fi download artificially "capped" from WAN to WLAN, but not WAN to LAN, or LAN to WLAN?
My Setup
-Topton N6005 4 port 2.5gbe Intel NICs 'igc0-3' with 16GB of DDR4 RAM 'i know Overkill') [Running OPNsense 22.7.6-amd64]
-Unifi 6E
All Wired devices (including the AP are connected to a 2.5Gbe Switch) on the LAN port (igc1) of the Topton Firewall.
I even added the following tunables thinking thats why i was having this issue - to no avail.
SYSTEM > SETTINGS > TUNABLES
Description Name Value
Interface igc0 Flow Control dev.igc.0.fc 0
Interface igc1 Flow Control dev.igc.1.fc 0
Interface igc2 Flow Control dev.igc.2.fc 0
Interface igc3 Flow Control dev.igc.3.fc 0
My CPU never exceeds 28C (i have a fan on the case) - and utilization hardly breaks a sweat, and doesnt exceed 10% during these throughput tests.
What gives?

Anyone have any troubleshooting steps i can take to narrow down what is causing this issue? I'm still at a total loss on next steps, if any.
