Hi all

Not sure how to handle it.

Any recommendations?

I know this happened on FreeBSD 12.1 too but I couldn't reproduce this easily. My best guess is it returns empty maybe because CARP isn't loaded or something...

sysctl net.inet.carp.demotion
net.inet.carp.demotion: 0

Not sure if this is zenarmor or elasticsearch related.
Since the upgrade in ran into issues.
Had to reinstall zenarmor and have to run it with mongodb now.
elasticsearch will not work.  Even a support session with the sensei guys did not resolve it.

i may take the time and reinstall with a fresh 22 version and restore the backups i got.

@franco
maybe an additional check with a message like "carp promotion cannot be made because the net.inet.carp.demotion value has not been received" would be appropriate here?)

offtopic: can you please look at src ticket when you have time? very interested in your opinion. thnks!

We already know it's not working so in which way we log it doesn't matter. What is important is to look at why it happens and wether that's bad (fix in src.git probably) or good/irrelevant to operation (ignore situation).

Issue came back after reinstallation.
So installed fresh from usb (vga version)
Upgraded to latest packages.
Installed Zenarmor with Elasticsearch.
