web proxy not working after upgrade from 21.1.3_3 to 21.1.5

Hi,
I am running an OPNsense on Proxmox (as WebProxy, Mail-Relay and HA-Proxy) for my home lab

After upgrading from OPNsense 21.1.3_3-amd64 to 21.1.5 the web proxy service seems to be broken.

Although dashboard shows that the squid service is running it is not listening on my proxy port (checked with netstat -an | grep LISTEN)

The config looks fine, everything else seems to be working (e.g. HA-Proxy) 

Any idea how to fix this?  :-\

Hi Michael,

Did you run a health audit? There weren't any Squid updates since 21.1.2.

Hi Michael,

we have had a similar issue.
In our chase, changing,saving and applying a firewall rule solved it.
Which firewall rule was irrelevant at that point.

first of all: thanks a lot for your help!

The issue seems reproducible, at least it happened again after rollback of the snapshot of my OPNsense VM and another update.

@franco: I did a health check and a reboot afterwards -> no luck
Also tried to disable and enable the web proxy. The service is "green" and as far as I can tell there were also some squid processes running (checked with ps aux) but nothing was listening on 8080 (my proxy port)

@Ralf Kirmis: That actually worked!  ;D ;D   I created a random firewall rule, saved it, hit apply, deleted it, hit apply again and squid is now working again.
Even after the next reboot it's still working fine :)

If somebody would like to see where this is coming from: I still have my snapshot from before so I could do some tests. If not I'll delete it in a few days and consider the problem solved  :) :)
