Hy!

https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/install.html#opnsense-importer

could be a little more specific imho.

1. The config.xml has to be provided in a directory /conf

2. Which file systems are allowed for the medium to import from? FAT, EXT4, XFS, ...?
kind regards

Regarding 1.)

Yes, the importer expects an existing OPNsense on the disk to be imported or at least one that is emulated using a /conf/config.xml file. The importer actually also grabs your backups and other things it knows about...

Regarding 2.)

With respect to 1.) we support reading from UFS and ZFS per native OPNsense installs or emulated using FAT.

Franco
