Errors out on LAN Bridge when using TAP for OpenVPN Server

Hi All,
I'm still relatively new to Opnsense so this may have already been asked. Apologies if it has. Could someone help me pin down the issue?
I have successfully configured a TAP mode OpenVPN server on my build. When a client is connected and browsing the windows shares, things are fine. However, copying an MP4 video over to the desktop, I'm seeing errors out coming through the LAN bridge for the duration of the download. The TAP and WAN have none and there are no errors in on any interface. I'm thinking MTU or MSS issues?
I'm unable to establish what the errors are for. I also note that there is no relative impact on performance with the errors due to the download and upload rate is as expected for my internet connection speed but then again, I don't know how it performs without errors to be certain.
If i delete the TAP interface, the errors out stop. So it is related to that. I've tried changing some of the settings on the server and trying the bridge with different setting, I've set the tunables as instructed so the bridge allows filtering and none of this helps. I've also mucked around with MTU and MSS to see if that affects things.
Normally I'd expect errors due to failing hardware but since it relates to the TAP interface, I don't think there is a hardware issue.
