New install, can't access GUI from LAN, but can ping both directions

I've got an old Dell server that I used for a new install of OPNSense 20.1. Went with the guided installation, and all default settings. All ports were recognized, and I've currently got the box plugged into a switch on bce0 (Dell GB0); no other network cables connected.

LAN is pointed to bce0 with DHCP and has a lease with a /24 address.
WAN is disconnected, but also configured on bce1 with DHCP.

Currently, when I try to access the GUI via the IP address displayed in the local console, I get connection timeouts from every browser I've tried. I can ping the box from my LAN, and the box can ping other LAN IP addresses just fine. I've tried both HTTP and HTTPS, and allowed non-secure connections when configuring IP addresses. When I disconnect and re-connect the LAN port cable, I do see a notice in the console that bce0 gigabit link is up. The box shows up in my Unifi controller under the correct IP.

For kicks, I plugged in a WAN cable to the same switch, and tried to access the GUI on that side, but had the same result.

I'm at the end of my rope. Any thoughts?

EDIT: on the advice of another user, I tried the base IP with curl, and got an HTML page.  After some tweaking, I realized that something else was blocking my access, and turned off all tracking protection, uBlock, etc.  Now I'm able to access everything normally.
