Crash in 20.1.6 when PPPoE refreshes

Following the thread from https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=12828.60 the issue seems to be still present in OPNsense 20.1.6-amd64 over here. We submitted a couple of crash reports from within the OPNsense web gui. Not sure where they end up and if they're helpful. :)
Any idea on what to do?

Same at my installation.

When the PPPoE-Line was re-synced or the VDSL-Modem (Full Bridge Mode) was rebooted OPNsense was freeze or hangs on the LAN.

The console display no problems, after an hard-reset the system is booting normal.

I think:  is is an issue Kernel <-> ethx drivers
