Unfortunately, these steps didn't change anything for me...  I still get slow speed.

Yes, I did reboot the machine after making the changes.

I tried to disable all of them (except the VLAN filtering which seems to be required) and nothing changed.

I'm running opnsense on VirtualBox VM using virtio-net adapters.  My wan is on a VLAN and traffic shaping is disabled.  After upgrading to 16.1, I noticed that download speed from the internet was slow: Less than 1mbps, while with 15.7 I had around 20mbps.

Resetting and restoring my config didn't help.  I also tried to configure only the minimum required to get a connection: same thing.

I re-installed 5.7 and download speed came back to normal (20mbps).

Is there any known issue that could explain this behavior?

It's a 256MB Alix.  So from what I understand, I should consider an hardware upgrade ;).

In the meantime, I will re-flash with the new image.

Once rebooted, the whole kernel upgrade always works.  So I think that there is not enough space in the ram partition because of packages that were upgraded before.  Maybe more stuff needs to be cleaned up?

Here is the requested output.  Note that the device is currently not in a state where kernel cannot be upgraded.

I have always problems while upgrading the kernel (not enough space).  I need to reboot and then try the upgrade again.

Will re-flashing fix that?

I already have an Alix running OPNsense.  Do I have to re-flash with this new image to get enhancements provided by it?
