My example. I have one printer running over a network connection with DHCP redundancy in hosts, users print via the printer server at the IP address. The printer breaks down, I replace it with another one, but of the same model, and change the MAC address in the existing hosts entry. Instead of the DHCP server giving him an IP address from the reservation, he gives him a new one, because the old one is leased.
