One new thing I tried was completling eliminating AdGuard Home from equation.

I changed DNS server on my DHCP server to my OPNsense Unbound.
Disabled all redirection rules concerning DNS.
Restarted devices so they pick up new DNS server.
restarted everything, just in case.
Im observing AdGuard Home stopped receiving queries from my devices.

Now there was a small hope, one device appeared to have a hostname.
but in my live view it was "flickering" as sometimes it was hostname and sometimes it was IP.

and then it stopped registering hostname completly.

filtered by hostname

Problem: In Reporting, "Top Local Hosts" (as well as live), it is only showing IP addresses and not hostnames.
I belive I tried everything to diagnose problem on my own including reading similar topics here, but it's been 2 days and this got frustrating for me.

I thought first I share my configuration and then include some screenshots which I think are relevant.

My current DNS structure

Client -> Adguard (192.168.1.214) -> Unbound DNS (inside OPNsense 192.168.1.1) -> Upstream over TLS

I also have local services that I access by overwriting rule in Unbound DNS

Client -> Adguard (192.168.1.214) -> Unbound DNS (inside OPNsense 192.168.1.1) -> Nginx Proxy Manager (192.168.1.202)

Inside my ISC DHCPv4 Server I assigned static mapping for all my devices

I followed all the rules for configuration and played with them a lot by enabling/disabling some of them and reseting zenarmor database.

General Settings

Port forwarding to force local users towards AdGuard

Floating rules

ISC DHCPv4 Settings (note I was playing with domain name and domain search list, maybe this is wrong now, but it was not working without it either)

Static mappings

Unbound DNS settings

Unbound DNS Overrides

My pain

DNS Enrichment settings

Privacy settings

when I run "host 192.168.1.112" for example from my computer (or from OPNsense shell)
I get result:
112.1.168.192.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer galaxy-lika.place.boo.

once I added Alias in Firewall for one of my devices and it started showing for a short time, but then it stopped.
I saw in reporting my other services that I access with nginx proxy like jellyfin.noce.boo or proxmox.noce.boo
and one time I even saw one of my devices resolved correctly.
but nothing permanent

ANY help is greatly appreciated
