Yes, there it was! I did migrate the firewall rules after the update and now when i checked the Source NAT page it was set to Automatic Source NAT rule generation, when it needs to be Hybrid. I changed to hybrid and my old Mullvad rule showed up again. Now everything works.

Is this a bug in the migration or did I miss something in the instructions?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi,

It seems like OPNsense 26.7 broke something related to how I do selective routing through Mullvad VPN. I used this guide to set it up:

https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=38550.0

I followed the guide a few months ago and it has been working perfectly with several devices but now none of them can reach the internet. I updated to 26.7 a few days ago and today was the first time I used a device that should be routed through Mullvad. I haven't changed any settings since the update except migrate the firewall rules. I can ping the devices on my LAN so they have network access at least.

The status page shows that the Mullvad tunnel is up and running and some data is sent and received (a few MB). According to Mullvad's server status page the server I'm using is working too.

Any idea where I could look for the problem?

Quote from: sparticle on October 18, 2024, 05:49:31 PMTrying the 23.7.12 image on the RPI4 and I  cannot get it to boot. Tried updating the PI firmware and bootloader copied the config-rpi4-txt to config.txt I just get a rainbow screen on boot..

Pi is fine and boots other OS fine from both sd card and USB.

Any advice?

Cheers

I dont't have the RPI4 but with my Orange Pi 5+ I needed to flash an UEFI bootloader instead of the usual u-boot bootloader used with most OPI operating systems. I think there's an UEFI version for RPI devices too.

Some starting points for further reading:

https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=35828.msg243738#msg243738

https://github.com/matheusber/opnsense

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=275882

Thank you, that did it! I actually used the image from Matheusber instead since it already have the right driver installed, but pointed to your repository for updates. Now it seems to run fine and has been routing and firewalling for a day now.

Quote from: rdunkle84 on February 01, 2024, 05:29:21 PMOPNsense 24.1 aarch64 ....  is working well on Orange Pi 5 Plus.

Is it still working for you? I also have an OPi 5+. The system boots and I have managed to install it to SSD and also install the rt8125 driver. But it always kernel panics a short while after I bring an interface online. When I try to assign interfaces in the menu it panics more or less right away, if I bring it up manually from the terminal it crashes after a few seconds to a few minutes.
