Hello,

I'm a Networking major experimenting with OPNsense on my home network. I've successfully set it up with a static WAN IP address. Initially, I ran into issues due to OPNsense's restrictive default firewall rules, but I resolved that by following some tutorials online.

Currently, I'm facing a specific problem: I can't establish peer-to-peer (P2P) connections over the internet using the Dolphin emulator. Here's what I've already done:

Enabled UPnP (despite security concerns, just for troubleshooting).

Manually port-forwarded the entire port range 1000–65535 directly to my laptop at 192.168.1.100.

Whitelisted relevant IP addresses in the firewall settings.

My network setup consists of two LANs:

LAN1: My laptop running Dolphin (IP: 192.168.1.100)

LAN2: All other devices connected via a router configured in bridge mode.

Testing two Dolphin instances locally (on LAN1) works fine, but I'm unable to establish a connection when playing online over the internet.

I'd greatly appreciate any advice or insights on why the emulator can't connect externally despite my current firewall and port-forwarding configuration.

Thank you!

EDIT: I was able to figure it out It was NAT as I had suspected however I had the Source and Destination reversed.
