Cheers,

Update:

I downloaded pkg "https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:14:amd64/latest/All/wifi-firmware-iwlwifi-kmod-ax210-20241017.1402000_2" on another system to a USB memory.

Installed pkg & rebooted and access via wifi interface is resolved.

When I check firmware status via OpnSense gui, system reports (from OpnSense repository) that system is up to date.

When I check via CLI with 'fwget' command, I receive error of missing pkgs

Perhaps update to 25.1.8_1 removed binaries for the wifi interface, or their there is inconsistency between Opnsense & FreeBSD repositories?

Did update to 25.1.8_1 today and lost access to wireless interface (which is used for Opnsense management via https).

I received messages in during boot "could not load binary firmware /boot/firmware/iwlwifi_s0_a0_hr_b0_89_ucode either
File size way too mall!

Repeats of this message for previous firmware release (88, 87,86,85) occurred in message log before failure / error timeout.

I am using Opnsense as transparent filtering bridge with wifi interface for Opnsense administration GUI as well as gateway to internet.

I did fwget command at CLI and received message that I needed package - 'gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-alderlake gpu-firmware-intel-kmod-tigerlake wifif-firmware-iwlwifi-kmod-ax210

Why was firmware not updated with needed package as part of upgrade process?

Since I only have command line access to Opnsense firewall (and no internet gateway access to add package), how may I correct this issue?

Thanks!
